YARNS

Most any fiber with a reasonable degree of flexibility can be  braided. Typical fibers include aramid, thermoplastics, polyester, and nylon, as well as natural fibers such as cotton, wool, rayon and silk.  The use of different yarns within a patterned structure is one means of  increasing specific performance criteria, as well as enhancing aesthetics.
