Integrated laces are woven into the structure during the braiding process, thus, alleviating one manufacturing step and allowing for intricate lacings that have the ability to tension all of the fibers within a structure.
Laces can be custom braided with core yarns that resist stretching and do not break, such as strong synthetic aramid fibers. Lace hole apertures can be designed to coordinate with the fashion of the product and reinforced with similar yarns.
